HELLO, my name is James. But most people call me Jim. Quite a few people call me Jimbob. One family calls me Joob or Joobo, but they are a bit odd. You can decide which is your favourite and use that. I won’t mind. Choose your own if you like, like Jamie or J-Dog. Don’t go for something like Bert, because I won’t know it’s me and you’ll be shouting ‘Hey Bert’ and I won’t turn around and you’ll think I’m being rude.

I live in Manchester, which is the best city in the world, mainly because it’s where my wife and child live and most of my friends. That’s why I can’t move anywhere else, because I’d miss them. I used to live in London and thought I could never leave. Then I left and thought I could never go back. Funny that.

I’m an author, like Stephen King and J.K. Rowling. Which is pretty cool. For them. They must often think ‘Wow, I do what James Davis does,’ and I’ll bet that cheers them up at times.
