So it finally happened. Scarlet: Defender of the Universe is in the shops right now. If you’ve not bought a copy yet, stop reading this immediately and go and buy one.

So, I’m officially an author, like David Walliams and JK Rowling. Which is pretty great… for them. I’ll bet they wake up every morning and say to themselves ‘I do what James Davis does,’ and I reckon that cheers them right up.

Between us we have sold over 650 million books.

I’ve already signed some books in Waterstones and will appear on the front cover of the Beano this week. Then I have a radio interview to do and six school visits all in January.
